Breeze Network Women’s Cycling Sheffield

Breeze Network is based around the idea of fun, friendly, local cycle rides; with support, training and opportunities such as bicycle maintenance also on offer. Free places for local rides can be booked via the breezebikerides website; whilst others are also listed on the Sky Ride site.

Sky Ride put on a number of local rides in areas right across the country; which go alongside their showcase events which take place once a year in chosen cities across the country. This year’s Sky Ride Sheffield event was a great success despite some torrential conditions in the city.

The Breeze scheme plays a big part in British Cycling’s commitment to raise the participation of women cyclists. Women’s cycling Sheffield is rapidly increasing; and the Breeze Network scheme has had a big influence in the rising numbers.

All of the Breeze Network rides are guided by volunteers known as ‘Breeze Champions’. These individuals plan, recce and deliver all of the available rides; and there are many of them based across the South Yorkshire area – including those in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and the Peak District.

You can follow the Breeze Network cycling Sheffield for South Yorkshire on Facebook and Twitter. You can reach their head office directly by giving them a call on 0161 2742117 or alternatively breeze@britishcycling.org.uk is the direct email contact.
